Press release: producer Remy Steijger launches ENSHI Music Stories

A new studio at the intersection of music, film and cultural storytelling

Delft, May 2026. Producer and entrepreneur Remy Steijger officially launches ENSHI Music Stories, a new creative studio focused on high-quality music films, documentaries and impactful storytelling at the intersection of music, film, culture and brands. With ENSHI Music Stories, Steijger builds on more than ten years of experience as founder and former CEO of production company Captains, where he was involved in a wide range of nonfiction productions for streaming services, broadcasters and Dutch and international brands. ENSHI Music Stories develops and produces stories centred on artists, with music driving emotion, identity and social impact. The studio works through a flexible international network of filmmakers, directors, artists, labels, investors and brands. “For me, ENSHI is about letting people shine,” says Steijger. “I believe the strongest stories emerge when music, emotion and human connection come together. ENSHI Music Stories wants to make films that are culturally relevant and truly move people.” Steijger’s recent work includes the documentary HER SOUND, about equality and the role of women in the international electronic music scene. In the film, techno artist Charlotte de Witte openly shares her personal story about her position in the scene and the challenges female artists around the world continue to face. The film premiered at DGTL Festival and was made possible through partnerships with Captains, ABN AMRO and BUMA/STEMRA, among others. Steijger recently discussed the project on 3FM. Steijger also initiated and produced the documentary Within Temptation: The Invisible Force, in which singer Sharon den Adel travels to Kyiv to bring connection and strength through music to a war zone. The documentary reached millions of viewers worldwide through an open distribution strategy on YouTube. Another recent documentary is Pretpark Hennie, which Remy Steijger initiated and produced at Captains in collaboration with BNNVARA and TV Rijnmond. The documentary received extensive national attention. Although the production is not music-related, it reflects Steijger’s broad vision of impactful storytelling. The documentary was selected for International Film Festival Rotterdam and broadcast on national television. Television analyst Tina Nijkamp called it “the most fascinating documentary of the past five years”. The audio documentary Betaalde Liefde, also initiated and produced by Steijger at Captains, became the most listened-to production on Storytel Netherlands in 2025 and was nominated for the Storytel Original Award. Alongside film production, Steijger manages artist Jeanna, with whom he developed the distinctive ‘history pop’ concept. It combines modern pop music, storytelling and historical themes into an artistic identity that brings music and history together. In addition to its own productions, ENSHI Music Stories offers consultancy, creative development and storytelling for brands, and connects filmmakers, artists, financiers and distribution partners. The studio is currently developing several Dutch and international projects involving music documentaries, artist branding and films with cultural impact. Through ENSHI Music Stories, Steijger aims to develop new forms of cultural storytelling with artists, brands, streaming services, investors and creative partners around the world.
